Why .nz? Because they were going to be cheap, they had the stock, they had the pre-order codes.
They failed. I’ve been given the run around by the shoddy folks at Gameplanet Store NZ, delay after delay, a week between email getting sent and getting replies. In the last email they apologised again and promised they would reduce the freight cost.
They did, by 45cents.
Good job Gameplanet! At a more reputable store if they promised something and failed to deliver, I would have expected to see the freight cost magically become super-fast courier cost so that I would have as little a wait caused by their mistake as possible. So i’ve sent gpstore another message, sure they ignored the last one, but this one asks them to please cancel the order and informs them that any charges to my Credit Card will be disputed.
Wonder if that’ll perk them up any…

5 minutes after my message asking for my order to be cancelled, it was.
Seems they’re mighty quick when you tell them to fuck off, not so quick at supplying the goods.

We’re sorry once again that we were unable to ship your order as quickly as expected. In our defense, we did advise you of this fact before you contacted us. (Although you might have subsequently received an email in error saying it had shipped, which would have been confusing? This was a stuff-up on my part.)
As for our service, we offered you $10 off the game as well as the slight shipping reduction - I notice you omitted this detail.
We also replied to both of your incoming PMs the same day as you sent them to us, although I can’t verify the timing of any email contact.
If you still want a Rhino key feel free to get in touch with me via email (matt@) and I’ll organise it for you as an apology. Be aware however that people who receive keys after launch are having trouble using them - we’re hoping that Funcom can fix this soon!
In any case I hope we can be of more useful service to you some time in the future.

Thanks for your reply Matt, to say it was a surprise is an understatement. For what it’s worth, the only reply I received at the gpstore site or in my email was a reply to the cancellation request. Obviously if replies were sent to the emails or the other PM then that changes the nature of the problem I had, which comes down to distributors and not individual stores.
Thanks for taking the time to apparently scour the interwebs for me and reply.
