This is from scratch, and works fine for me.
Install XP - Make a partition for XP of whatever size you want at the start of the drive.
Install Fedora 4 - Tell the install to use whatever free space is left and automatically create partitions as required.
Use GRUB for a bootloader. Your entry for Fedora will be quite long and complicated, but it will work that out for itself.
Your entry for Windows XP will be /dev/hda1
Simple and very effective.

It’s funny, over two years ago I made the first post ( that wouldn’t be deleted ) about how I managed to find and install a copy of Longhorn Version 4008. Today I downloaded and installed a copy of Longhorn ( or Windows Vista ) Version 5048 and installed it.
Oh my god! This is the most horrible OS I’ve ever had the displeasure of trying to navigate. I understand, through reading a few sites that the functionality has been stripped out because they changed code bases or somesuch nonsense, but the changes they had made, to the menus, to the search function, to the way files are organised.
Hello Microsoft, I install PCs for a living. I teach people who have never used a computer how to navigate through Windows XP. There is no chance way I will be doing this if the layout stays the same.
Anyone that wants pretty ( or not so pretty ) screenshots should go to that site I linked up above. Pay close attention to the “Computer” and “Internet Explorer” screenshots. The guy that wrote that article wrote it in May ‘05. I just trashed my Laptop’s XP install ( it was full of crap anyway ) to try this out.
Downloading Fedora Core 4 DVD-ISO now.

I’m re-reading the Elenium & the Tamuli at the moment. More because there is nothing new for me to read than because of any desire to revisit that world. I’m constantly surprised at how many plot holes I’m noticing!
I know the idea of plot holes in Eddings is hardly knew to me, but these are things I never noticed before. Bound to have been discussed to death ( or as close to death as you can get ) on AFE, but I obviously never really read anything posted there.
The most recent hole, Tynian is sent home with a busted shoulder, which cannot be healed by Aphrael as it would reveal what form she takes, only Aphrael in the form of Flute meets Tynian before he leaves and tells him to careful using his shoulder ( pg 52, tSO ).
You probably don’t care but I’m bored while waiting for SG-1 09×01 to download so I thought I would share.

So glad I’ve got a fast connection, and glad my download month finishes on the 16th. Stargate, Stargate: Atlantis and Battlestar all return to US TV on the 15th of July, which means they’ll be available on the 16th, which is the 17th here in Oz.
I’m just glad I don’t have to download a new episode of Lost & Alias each week as well or I’d never get anything done…
.. Oh wait…

Just watched the opening two episodes of whatever the latest season of 24 is. Is it season 4 now? Got to be unluckiest characters in the history of the world, but anyway..
Apparently someone was trying to “corrupt” the internet. We could tell because ominous red text was scrolling down a black background.. and also the guy “hacking” something to get software from adobe & microsoft told us. Like bittorrent links require “hacking”?
Oh well.. Serenity soon…ish…
