Two years later
One of my clients today looked really familiar.
Not just pass someone in the street and get a flash of recognition familiar, but the type of familiar that makes you wonder if you’re being impolite by not remembering their name, or how much attention you were paying to Crimestoppers last night.
It turns out that a little over two years ago I set up his previous system, the system that has now been replaced with something shiny, new and hopefully better quality.
Two things occured to me;
First that this novice computer user upgrades their computer more regularly than I do. I am still using the same machine I was using two years ago, with just a graphics card update in that time.
The second thing was that I am still in the same job, for the same pay, doing the same thing, for the same people and have been for over two years.
Both of these things depress me.
