I’ve managed to upload 50 or so photos I took while in Kruger national park.
You can find them at http://gallery.platinumweaver.net/ under the Holidays section and then South Africa.
Here is an example shot..
Enjoy.

So I’m typing this on my laptop, connected via the hotel’s wireless internet facility that I’m pretty sure 95% of the staff don’t know exists. I say that, because when I asked the staff whether there was a wireless connection, or a connection available in the rooms they told me no and pointed to the two systems set up in the lobby.
Whooops..
They were partially right though. There is no connection available in the rooms, on the fourth floor the wireless connection has failed so you have to go downstairs and sit at the bar in order to use the internet wirelessly..
Sit at the bar and use their relatively high-speed DSL connection.. it’s a damn hard life isn’t it.
Expect photos.. as soon as I finish my beer..
I’m kidding, it’s only 7:59am I’ll have the beer with breakfast…

In Africa now.
Sorry, was that a little quick?
I’m on a two week holiday touring around South Africa, I have internet 5 days into the trip. The internet is boring, nothing happened!
So anyway, I’m currently in Cape Town, which is nice because it has the internet, and I’m sure for other reasons I’ll find out about later in the day… like Table Mountain!
The only way i’m going to get pictures online is if I secretly plug the ethernet cable into my laptop, but the computers are in the lobby so that might not work too well. The other option is to pay for a craptastic dial-up connection, pay rediculous rates for the ‘net time as well as timed local calls.
So if anyone wants to contact me, email me. I’m 9 hours behind AEST and have already had two 3:30am calls.
I think that’s all for now…
