And we’re back!

Same shit, different DNS…

Hopefully this post with signify the end of the changeover from my previous host to the good folks of Dreamhost. So far I’ve had no problems with them, they keep you up to date as to the progress of your account creation, they replied quickly to a query I had just crap all over adfree in all aspects!

While I have your attention, feel free to have a gander at http://www.platinumweaver.net/gallery for some photos. I just had most of them printed at 8″x12″ by Teds for $2 each.. quite nice quality printing, would like to get the colour profile for next time so I can see what they’ll look like beforehand.

As with all things, if something is broken, let me know..

Possibly Oddities

Things could be a little odd over the next few weeks as domain-name registration and hosting both will be changing. I hope that everything will run smoothly, but I expect that I’ll be without a properly functioning domain for two weeks.
If this is the case my email will also be down, so please get me at my gmail account, yahoo account, hotmail account or internode account.. yeah.. too many addresses…

So… anyone have any hosting?

I know it’s been a long while and I should update properly, just have a quick question first.. does anyone out there know of a good quality, relateively cheap hosting service?

The reason I ask is that it’s coming up on renewal time here and the customer service with my current provider is just unbelievably hopeless. Information on their homepage is out of date, their services are spread out over multiple domains.. it’s all just really messy…
I’ve just send out my 3rd and 4th emails to them regarding a rather serious matter of not being able to renew the domain name without some input from them, 3rd and 4th I say because after tracking down their contact details from their webpage I received a bounce notice and had to scour my old emails for an address from a few years ago that seems more up-to-date than what they’re recommending…

Suffice to say that I’ve had enough, and if anyone can recommend a service that’d be great..
