This is a Cloverleaf Power Mains Lead. This is the powerlead for the Samsung Syncmaster 151S TFT monitor.

If you purchase a 151S monitor and dont have the right cable, dont bother calling Samsung, their only Australian number is in NSW, they’ll keep you on hold for 40minutes, have no idea what you (or they) are talking about when they finally pick up the phone, and will then divert you to an answering machine when you ask to talk to someone that -might- have a clue.
Instead, go to Jaycar Electronics and grab one from them.

What do you do when you find you’ve got twice the RAM you had a week ago? Well obviously you run the most RAM dependant program you have, just to see how well it goes!
Just a quick and dirty addition to the Terragen page for now, but while I was putting it up I noticed that some variables were not being written for each of the different worlds. Shame on you for not telling me about this… of course, if anyone actually visited that section of the page, they might have noticed.
Link on the Right with the rest of the Terragens, enjoy

Aaah, the ongoing saga of my computer.. is erm.. ongoing..
I purchased a Western Digital harddrive about a week ago. A real nice unit, 80GB, 8MB Cache and a beautiful shiney 3yr warranty. Set it all up, reinstalled XP+sp1, then stuck in a copy of MandrakeLinux ( LinuxMandrake? ) 9.1, just for flavour.
Very soon after I started having major rebooting issues within XP, basically, it rebooted every 5 minutes. Linux was mostly stable, which allowed me to post numerous messages to OCAU trying to get to the bottom of the problem. In the end I took a supect stick of RAM back to the retailer where it was tested and replaced. I also took the oppurtinty to buy another 512mb of the same ram for $5 more than I paid six months ago for 256mb.
Got the ram home, whacked it all in.. and whammo.. blue screen. The replacement stick of PC2700 I had gotten was defective as well, though the 512 still worked. So today I went back and got the defective stick tested and then replaced, and while I was there got the new stick tested. Whee!!
So as soon as I switch this system off.. I’ll be given it a nice upgrade.

I should register ‘fickle.com.au’
At any one time, I have between 6-12 personal projects running, or rather, not running…
Getting this webpage up to scratch was one of them, which I think is pretty much fine now. Yes, there are features that I would like to include, but nothing that needs serious attention, or needs to be including in order to call this complete. We can call this PlatinumWeaver.Net v2.0 if you like, because I think it’s been through all the testing and feature added crap, and is a complete entity.
See what I mean about being fickle? I started this post to talk about Neverwinter Nights and my Wheel of Time based .mod for that.
I sat down and asked myself some questions that I hope will allow me to refocus on what I want to be doing with this mod, and also will explain to anyone who cares, what it is i’m trying to do.
Rather than taking up heaps of room on this page, here is a link to the Q&A sheet.

Last weekend’s LAN party was ( I believe ) a great success. The people organising it made their money back, the people attending played games till all hours of the morning and I think we even left the in decent condition!
So we’re doing it again! For longer!
www.MassiveLans.com is the website for the group organising the various LANs, and while they’re off to a slow start, they seem to be going about it the right way, rather than just diving into huge attendances and the problems that occur when you get that number of people rocking up on game-day.
So anyway, next lan is on Anzac Day and goes for what is looking to be 48hrs or so. So if anyone reads this and wants to attend, go to the above webpage, register.. and start packing!

It’s just no fun playing April Fool’s jokes on people when you have to force them to go and read them.
Oh well..

Greetings All,
As many of you have noticed, I have not been around much for the past week or so. My trips into IRC have been very short, and this page has gone un-updated. Unfortunately, there is a very good reason for this.
A lot of you know that my job at the moment involves the installation and setup of Personal Computers that have been purchased from various big name retail outlets. I have been setting these systems up for about 6 months now, and up until two weeks ago I have had very few problems either with the work or with the clients.
That, I am afraid to say, has changed. On the 23rd of March I installed a system for client that included the setup of an All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax. For legal reasons I may not divulge the manufacturer. Although the system was properly set up, I agreed to come back the next day, on my own time, to give the client some extra training. This was without the authorisation or consent of my employer, which normally would not matter… normally.
While helping them learn the intricacies of Outlook Express and various other applications. I moved the All-in-One device to the top shelf of the desk, so that there was more room for the keyboard and mouse.
Everything seemed fine and after a short time I left.
Three days later however, the printer which had been printing a large amount of documents, slipped from the top of the shelf and ended up seriously injuring one of the occupents of the house.
The family has decided that the injury was entirely my fault, and have intiated legal procedings to that effect.
My problems are compounded by the fact that my negligent act was performed outside of my defined work hours, so my employer has basically left me to fend for myself.
Naturally they do not want to have a legal battle interfering with their expansion plans, so I have also been given two weeks pay in lieu of notice, and had all of my booked appointments reallocated.
So there you have it.. I will of course continue to update you all on the situation as it progresses..
Thank you
Edit: Yes, this was an April Fool’s joke. Work is good, I never dropped anything on anyone. Ta
